About the Course

Join us for a comprehensive one-day Snake Handling Course, designed to equip participants with essential knowledge and hands-on skills in working with venomous snakes across Western Australia.

Led by one of WA’s most experienced venomous snake handlers, this course covers:

  • 🐍 Reptile biology & venomous snake identification

  • 🔍 In-depth understanding of snake behaviour

  • 🧰 Snake handling equipment & techniques

  • 🧠 Psychological preparation for safe handling

  • ✅ Safe catch and release methods

Live demonstrations with multiple native species will provide realistic training in a controlled environment.

🎯 Course Outcomes

By the end of the course, participants will:

  • Understand how to interpret snake behaviour

  • Learn to safely capture and relocate venomous snakes

  • Minimise stress on animals and reduce human risk during encounters

  • Perform a successful live catch and release

  • Receive a Venomous Snake Relocation Certificate upon successful completion
