Snap Shot Shorts' Season One Finale
Event description
Sailboat Films and Little Lizard Productions presents Snap Shot Shorts' Season One Finale!
Come along to The Embassy on July 21st to celebrate the Snap Shot Shorts community, a group of young Wellington filmmakers who have achieved the amazing feat of independently making and releasing 12 short films in 12 months.
Get your tickets to watch all the 12 films from this season on the BIG screen, including the first-ever public showing of our season finale film, 'Express'!
- Doors open at 4:30pm but the screening won't kick off until 5:30pm! So come for a mingle, a drink and a cinematic snack before the fun begins!
- We have a raffle going with great prizes sponsored by Coffee Supreme and Wētā Workshop! These can be purchased for $2 on the main ticketing page, so grab one if you haven't yet and be in to win!
- The event will be R16 as some films do have mature themes. We do advise that our 11th film 'Driven' contains material of a highly sensitive nature including domestic violence and coarse language, that may be triggering for some individuals. Please feel free to step outside of the cinema whenever you need.
Dress code is smart!
About Snap Shot Shorts:
Snap Shot Shorts is an independent short film series that aims to bridge the gap between working professionals and young filmmakers who are just starting their industry journey in Wellington, New Zealand.
Each month, a short film that fell within the 1-15 minute mark, would be greenlit and assigned a different director and crew made up of filmmakers with various backgrounds and experience levels from all over the Wellington region.
By the end of season one, Snap Shot Shorts will have released 12 short films in 12 months, established an Operations team of 13, built a community of 250+ filmmakers, 100+ actors and many other graphic designers, artists and composers.
Self-funded and self-led by the next generation of Kiwi creatives, season two is just around the corner and we cannot wait to get cracking.
