So You Want to be an Executive Director?

Are you wondering if the Executive Director role is right for you? Are you intrigued about the challenges and joys of the job? Do you know what you need to do to ready yourself to be successful as an ED?
In this workshop offered in partnership with ONE Worcester, we will explore the Executive Director job description, gain an understanding of the hiring process and tips on what it takes to land the job. There will be a mix of presentation, small group work, self-reflection, and a panel of local, dynamic Executive Directors who stepped into this role within the last five years. They will share their perspectives on what the job really entails and how to prepare for it, and they’ll answer the key question: “If I knew then what I know now, what would I have done differently?
Doors will open at 9 a.m. and the session will begin at 9:30 a..m.
This panel will be moderated and presented by Nancy Jackson, principal partner and search consultant. Nancy brings a wealth of experience having overseen over 70 executive transitions, facilitated 10 merger processes, and crafted strategic plans for 25-30 organizations with varying scopes.
