"Soaring Together to March Forward" Brunch
The Banksia Tree Cafe and Restaurant
port adelaide, australia
Event description
Join us for our first Exclusive Members event of 2025!
Each year when an IWD event has been requested we have focused on showcasing all the other events around, because SA Woman believes in advocating for women 365 days of the year. We believe in uplifting one another and celebrating achievements. We believe in raising the issues that face women and girls, no matter the day or month.
We also believe in the power of connection. The power of conversation. And that a group of women has the power to change the world. We also believe that these opportunities should be accessible. So this year, we are stepping outside of our box and creating a beautiful brunch for our community to gather, to connect, to support, in a setting that supports a small local business.
This isn't about panelists or speakers. This is about empowering each and everyone of us to march as one, as equals, with voices as important as each other. Coming together to envision a more gender equal future and as a community inspire each other and share ideas to all play our part.
We hope you can join us!
Included:
- Breakfast
- Bottomless Mimosas (for an hour and a half)
- A Coffee
And of course wonderful company!
For this event, $5 from each ticket will go toward the Girls who Soar future fund. This will help us to create a Breakfast panel event designed for girls in schools to attend.

More about this years International Women's Day theme:
This year is the 30th Anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, and therefore the theme for International Women's Day is to March Forward: For ALL women and girls. I ask you to think about what this means to you and have conversation on the day."Under the banner of UN Women’s global campaign to mark the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, “For ALL Women and Girls”, this year’s International Women’s Day is a rallying cry to take action in three key areas:
Advance women’s and girls’ rights: Fight relentlessly for women’s and girls’ full range of human rights, challenging all forms of violence, discrimination, and exploitation.
Promote gender equality: Address systemic barriers, dismantle patriarchy, transform entrenched inequities, and elevate the voices of marginalized women and girls, including young people, to ensure inclusivity and empowerment.
Foster empowerment: Redefine power structures by ensuring inclusive access to education, employment, leadership, and decision-making spaces. Prioritize opportunities for young women and girls to lead and innovate."
