Sober Costume Party @ Bu Tea Den
Description
Saturday, October 24 | 8 PM to late
$10 donation
Los Angeles Sober Collective presents a Sober Costume Party at Bú Tea Den.
Halloween is a week away. Consider this your dress rehearsal. Wear the costume early, show it off on a real dance floor, or come exactly as you are. Costumes optional.
Never been to a sober party? Make this your first. No pressure to drink, just a room full of people who came to dance, laugh and meet someone new.
Featuring DJs Grey Allen & DJ Mateo
Grey Allen has spent years behind the decks, and he brings a clear, sober love for music, movement and real underground culture to every set. Expect deep, hypnotic grooves that pull you onto the floor and keep you there.
DJ Mateo is a performance art DJ and devoted vinyl digger. His mixes lean hip-hop, but his crates run wide, so expect a few left turns that keep the room guessing.
Zero-proof drinks all night. House-made teas and mocktails, plus more at the dry bar.
Harm reduction brought to you by Same Difference Co.
This is a sober, drug-free event. No alcohol or drugs of any kind allowed. This event is 21+.
🏧 The Installation
Bu Tea Den is the permanent home of Paisley ID. The AFTMs (Automated Fortune Telling Machines) are repurposed ATMs that use numerology and chakra theory to generate a personalized fortune. Worth the visit on its own. Bring someone who hasn't seen it.
Advance RSVP is required. Address sent with your ticket. We're in a warehouse building and the entrance is through the side door by the loading dock.
