Sober + sober curious camping weekend - Everglades Eco Camp, Noosa
Event description
Calling the sober + sober curious for a weekend’s camping - with a difference!!
It’s a given that this camping weekend will be full of fun, laughter and camaraderie - as our always are - but this time we’re upping the ante to make your stay even more memorable than usual! This is what you have in store:
- We’ve selected award-winning eco-retreat, Habitat Noosa, so you can really relax and unwind in beautiful surrounds with great amenities and right near the water. (You can also choose glamping if camping is not your thing!)
- We’ll kick off Friday night with a welcome sausage sizzle where you’ll meet your fellow tribe members and get acquainted (veg options available)
- Get your walking shoes on Saturday morning (8 am) as our resident fitness guru Stu will be leading a 12k bushwalk on the Kinaba track, with beautiful natural scenery around the expansive lake and surrounds
- On Saturday afternoon, Untoxicated’s Founder Faye will be running a goal setting workshop. This can be in relation to cutting back alcohol, quitting or something else entirely – you choose. You’ll work on where you want to go and what might be blocking you from you getting there.
- After dinner, let’s get together on the lakeside beach and gather round a campfire (if permitted). Relax, get toasty and have a laugh with your new-found friends. We’ll also do a fireside share where you can talk about whatever is on your mind (optional).
- On Sunday morning, it will be hugs and goodbyes all round with the new friends you have made, as well as some lovely memories.
Untoxers who have attended our previous camping weekends say they get so much out of them: an affirming mix of unwinding in nature, lots of laughs, getting the endorphins pumping and, importantly, building genuine connection with others without alcohol. They often say they never thought they could have such a good time camping without booze!
These trips are popular and on a first come first served basis - so get in quick! We will be limited to 25 people.
Costs:
· A $100 booking fee per person to cover organising the weekend and the above activities. Untoxicated has recently become a registered charity and not for profit; thank you for your support!

About Untoxicated:
Untoxicated exists to normalise a sober/sober curious life and to help make it social, positive and with meaningful and supportive connection to like-minded others. And to reduce the stigma many Australians experience because of either their sobriety or their problematic drinking.
We run social groups in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, as well as an online support group, forum and community. We are a grassroots community run solely by volunteers and a registered health promotion charity. www.untoxicated.com.au
