Social Connections Group
Event description
Did you know that strong social connections can boost your health, wellbeing, and even help you live longer?
The UC Medical and Counselling Centre is offering a free three-session program designed to help students build their social networks. You'll learn practical strategies to connect with others and have the chance to meet fellow students in a relaxed, supportive setting.
Run by one of our psychologists, this group is perfect for UC students who want to build confidence in social situations and make genuine connections on campus.
IMPORTANT INFO:
This is a 3-part series. By registering, you are committing to attend all three sessions:
Session 1: July 23
Session 2: July 30
Session 3: August 6
One ticket covers all dates
Connect Up 2617 is a local program for 18 to 30-year-olds living, working, or studying in the Belconnen and Bruce areas. It’s all about meeting new people and sharing experiences.
Our friendly Community Connectors are here to help. Before the Social Connections Group, one or two Connectors will be at Nomads coffee shop to welcome anyone who’d like extra support. They’ll chat, grab a coffee with you, and walk you to the group.
If you'd like to meet a Connector beforehand, just let us know when registering.
If you have any questions or enquiries, please contact hannah.coffee@canberra.edu.au.
