Event description

Bendigo Regional Showcase. Join us with the Deputy Premier The Hon. Jacinta Allen at our Bendigo Regional Showcase.

Did you know more than 120 business and government organisations have caught on and are already leading the charge in business for good?

Continuing our 2023 series of regional showcases, we are here to celebrate all those who play a part in the shift to #businessforgood.  You will hear from trailblazing local social enterprises, and from members of the business and government community who are leading the charge in unlocking social impact through procurement.

The Victorian Government’s Social Procurement Framework seeks to increase the value of procuring goods, services, and construction. Suppliers to Victorian Government need to consider social value when competing for government procurement opportunities – through engaging social enterprises and Aboriginal businesses and investing in employment and skills for disadvantaged community members. There are significant opportunities through the Victorian Government’s unprecedented investment in major transport and housing projects across the state.

Join Deputy Premier Jacinta Allan at our public event, where we will celebrate all those who play a part in the shift to #businessforgood.  You will hear from trailblazing local social enterprises, and from members of the business and government community who are leading the charge in unlocking social impact through procurement.

Through open discussion and a facilitated Q&A we will explore the benefits and challenges of social procurement and explore local opportunities including the Victorian Government's $2 billion package for regional Victoria.

Join our community of gamechangers, who are making a more inclusive and equitable Australia by making buying from social enterprise the norm.

Featured topics include:

  • How social enterprise is one of the most impactful ways to do business
  • Opportunities for regional social enterprises through the Social Procurement Framework
