    Event description

Catalyst 2030 is the global movement mobilising to accelerate the achievement of the UN SDGs by 2030.

The Social Enterprise Scholar Practitioner Network was formed to create a closer bond, intersectional identity and knowledge exchange between social enterprise practitioners and academia.

Following the Social Enterprise World Forum 2022, SESPN is presenting two speakers at our regular monthly virtual meet-ups.

At the Thursday session, join us as we hear from Jeremy Hale.

Jeremy Hale is a researcher for the Advanced Botanical and Biomass Research Institute and Natural Rebound, where he finds systemic solutions for communities focused on remediation and regenerative agriculture. His work is based on the premise of providing food, shelter, and clean water to communities before scaling industries and establishing infrastructure to support generational financial stability. As a scholar-practitioner he also develops research projects with universities to support industry development and support communities through sustainable strategies and technologies.

Jeremy will discuss systems thinking and ways we as scholars should adjust to the chaos of our specialties and accept the limitations of quantification. Jeremy will also discuss his recent talk in Amsterdam "discussing the relationship of arts and sciences in communicating global issues" and Ecuador "discussing the impacts of linear systems thinking and the need for circular systems when addressing issues"
