Description
Spend a creative afternoon sewing, mending, and making with Local Fibre at Titirangi Community House. This relaxed social sewing session is open to all skill levels - whether you’re bringing along a work-in-progress, tackling repairs, or starting something new.
Bring your own sewing machine, or make use of the sewing machines and overlocker available. A selection of sewing tools and notions will be provided, and there’ll be plenty of space to share ideas, learn from others, and enjoy sewing in a supportive community setting.
Come for the sewing, stay for the great chat!

- Do I need to be an experienced sewer?
Not at all. This is a relaxed, beginner-friendly space - all skill levels are welcome, from complete beginners to experienced makers.
- What should I bring?
Bring your sewing project, fabric, patterns, and any personal tools you like to use. If you have a sewing machine, you’re welcome to bring it, but it’s not required.
- Are sewing machines provided?
Yes. There will be 4 sewing machines and an overlocker available for shared use.
- What materials or tools are available on site?
A selection of basic sewing tools and notions will be available, but please bring any specialised items you may need for your project.
- Do I need to book in advance?
Yes, spaces are limited so please register in advance.
