Event description

Adelaide Spikers Volleyball Club is an LGBTQIA+ club that welcomes anyone interested in social volleyball in a safe, supportive and all-inclusive environment!

We offer social and non-competitive style games of mixed abilities. Each team is allocated randomly to encourage players to mingle and get to know each other!

It is essential that you pre-purchase your ticket as we often sell out and can't guarantee a spot will free up. Please check-in on time to avoid delays in the team allocation process.

We can't wait to meet you!

    FAQ'S

    Q: Can anyone attend?

A: Yes! While we predominantly are an LGBTQIA+ social volleyball club, we welcome people of all orientations, genders, ages and skill levels!
Q: Do I need to have any experience?

A: Nope! While a little experience with basic skills is recommended, we have plenty of members who can help you learn the reigns and get you playing in no time! We mix up the teams each week to promote socialising and encourage newer players to play alongside and learn from the more experienced players. We also run coaching sessions during the warm up to help people with specific elements of the game.
    Q: Can I just walk-in?

A: No, unfortunately due to current demand and venue capacity we are no longer accepting walk-ins. Please purchase your free trial ticket in advance

Q: How much does it cost?

A: New players have their first session FREE!

General Admission is $10,  ($8 for high-school/university students)
Adelaide Spikers Members pay $8 ($6 for students)

Club memberships are $15 for 6 months, or $25 for 12 months
Q: Do I need to be a member?

A: You MUST hold a current Volleyball SA membership ($25 social as a minimum) to continue playing AFTER your free trial session. This can be purchased here:
    https://www.volleyballsa.com.a...

You don't need to be a club member to participate, however membership gives you extra benefits such as early-bird ticket access and discounts on tickets/merchandise.

Ask a committee member on the night about becoming a member!
Q: Why do I need a VSA membership

A: As an affiliate club of Volleyball SA, we are governed by their code of conduct (under Volleyball Australia) which requires all participants in affiliated programs to be members for insurance purposes. Your VSA membership insures you for personal injury at any of our VSA approved events.
Please note you will not be covered by insurance during your trial session and will be playing at your own risk
Q: What's the ASVC Club Membership?

A: Our Adelaide Spikers Club Membership is a loyalty program designed for our regular players to access a few extra benefits. This includes things like:
    - Early access to tickets (which is handy when we often sell out)
    - Discounted tickets
    - Discounted Merchandise
    - Ability to vote at our AGM

Club memberships are $15 for 6 months, or $25 for 12 months - renewed annually in July
    Q: When do you play?

A: We hold social game nights every Wednesday during the school year.
We have one 2-hour session starting at 6:30pm, including 30 minutes of warm-up and practice followed by social games.
We also hold regular beach sessions during the summer school holidays at Glenelg Beach
Q: Do you hold events outside of game nights?

A: We sure do! We usually organise events throughout the year, including our annual SMASH Volleyball Tournament held in November and Christmas party

So keep your eyes peeled on our socials, and you'll be the first to find out when we've got fun new things happening!
