Society Of Cutting Up Men / <redux> / Manticora
Description
<3 ATTENTION NOISE LOVERS <3
Join us in listening on this late spring evening to the soft sounds of degrading tape loops, blasted 909 kicks, and the scraping drones of oscillators performed by a mix of Eora’s most established and upcoming noise artists.
Society of Cutting Up Men (S.C.U.M) is a bad omen of primordial darkness that has lost her way and ended up in this so-called dimension. An aural executioner, S.C.U.M forges her own space through audio assault, piercing sonic frequencies, and abhorrent noise.
<redux> is the lifecycles of tape loops, of the in-between static and hum, of the beginning to the end, and over and over, and over and over, and over again.
Manticora highlights the extensive possibilities of ear-splitting sounds that no-input mixing offers. Join her and have fun in listening to the nerve pinching catharsis she creates, and move your body to the rhythms she vandalises through walls of feedback and distortion.
This show will be taking place on the lands of the Gadigal and Wangal people where sovereignty was never ceded.
Disrespect will not be tolerated in this space and there will be zero devils advocate from the organisers if somebody is making people uncomfortable.
