About our speaker

Simon leads Previously Unavailable's Venture Studio and Brand Fund, their VC fund in partnership with Icehouse Ventures, and is a co-founder at New+Improved. The team at New+Improved have helped start two of NZ's fastest growing start-ups, Tracksuit and Ideally, and are creating a series of marketing technology start-ups. Previously Unavailable work as brand and equity partners with a range of great companies who are creating new categories, such as Appetise, aglow and Taxi. He's the host of the entrepreneur-focused Business is Boring podcast for The Spinoff, winner of Best Business Podcast at the New Zealand Podcast Awards. Prior to PU, Simon led global brand, creative and communications for Vend from under USD$1mARR to over $20mARR, and he loves working with startups on naming, brand and positioning strategy, capital strategy and brand execution.
