Join SMDT facilitator Amy in a group workshop exploring the body and psyche's capacity to be in 'soft resistance'.

Connect to your body to build coping skills, relieve physical tension and safely explore emotions.

Beginning with clinical somatics and trauma informed yoga, moving toward ‘dance movement’ together we will journey through a SMDT structured 5 Part Session, unravelling our felt sense of resistance within the body and co-creating our capacity for softness in an increasingly harsh world. The session concludes with reflective writing, drawing and conversation as an external processing of your inner movement journey.

You are invited to bring any comfort supports, a journal and an inquisitive body mind, no dance experience is necessary - SMDT is expressive and explorative - not performative!

All folks welcome, SMDT is for all abilities and adaptable for all participants, no person turned away due to lack of funds.

Please reach out to Amy at amyvbaird@gmail.com with any queries.

I acknowledge this event will unfold on unceded Arrente land, and pay my respects to elders past, present and emerging. Always was, always will be.
