    Event description

Please join us for another "soft skill" Shibari! This time, running as a part of Newcastles own Kink Fest!

What is a soft skill? Soft skills are fundamental skills to ensure safety, minimise risk and maximise the physical experience had by shibari practitioners. This includes core knowledge around safety, consent, risk profiles, anatomy, communication, and understanding the equiptment and techniques used for shibari.

This class aims to achieve an increase in core knowledge and arm newer shibari practitioners with the skills required to practice safely prior to the application of rope upon the body.

There is no prerequisite for this class; it is primarily aimed towards beginner level, however all skill levels can benefit from refreshing core knowledge.

There will be a practical component at the end, with Ardentdesires. Bring a length of rope (or more) and shears if you have them. There will be some practice rope available if needed.

What to bring: you may find it useful to bring a notepad/pen. Rope/shears are not required, but would be useful if you have them for the small prac session

What to wear: Please dress in casual wear, we will be in a vanilla space.

Do I need a partner?: No, you may come alone, partnered, or in a group.

Included in the ticket price is a copy of this booklet, a pre/post rope quick guide and an anatomy flyer!!
