Event description

An invitation to a harmonious afternoon of inner calm, Qi Gong flow guidance and restorative meditation.

Together, we will gently move through nourishing seasonal Qi Gong flows, to enliven and support our meridians and comfort our Heart Qi for Summer. We will honour our being as it transitions into the most Yang time of year, through movement, visualisation and awareness.

Then, feeling relaxed, open and centred, we shall melt into a blissful guided meditation to cool our inner fire with joyful playfulness - the energy of Summer.

"The summer is ruled by the fire element and is the most yang of the seasons, meaning the energy during the summer months has an active, expansive and outward energetic influence. Being linked to the fire element, the summer season is associated with the heart and small intestine."

The emotion associated with Summer is Joy and the colour is Red. "Traditionally it is said that we should have a happy demeanour and not hold grudges during this time. Everything we do should come from a place of joy and be done with happiness and laughter. It is also a good time to heal emotional wounds."

As we herald the beginning of Summer, we are invited to become ever more present with our inner fire and our Heart - the emperor of our emotions.  It is advised to wake early, nap at midday and go to bed a little later than we do in the Yin seasons.

Summer represents outward energy, expansion, movement, and activity. This is the time to use the energy we have been storing and nourishing all Winter and play!

Join me, on Sunday 3rd December to soften into this Summer season with joy, expansion and peace.
