Join SoilCQuest agronomists Guy Webb and Dr Adam O'Toole for a Soil Carbon Workshop this October 2026 🚜

🌱 Tuesday 20 October 2026, 8am - 10am (includes morning tea), at the Elders Cowra Branch, 42 Young Rd, Cowra NSW

Soil Carbon…CAN-do! Adding soil carbon to your Agronomy Toolbox

A free workshop for agronomists, by agronomists

Why is soil carbon good for farm businesses, how do you build it in cropping and mixed systems, and what’s involved in ACCU Soil Carbon Projects?

Every day you solve your clients' toughest challenges. What if a crucial tool was missing from your agronomic toolbox? Something right beneath your feet- often overlooked and commonly misunderstood- that can unlock immediate potential for your cropping and grazing clients.

Soil carbon addresses core agronomic issues, and every farm has the potential to build it.

Building soil carbon can:

Increase available soil moisture
Increase nutrient availability
Increase farm income & resilience
Increase client productivity and satisfaction

Bridging Science and Practical Agronomy

Soil carbon science can be complex, leaving many advisors unsure of which practical management actions to recommend. Agronomists also need clear, unbiased guidance on how farmers navigate ACCU Soil Carbon Projects under the Australian Government's Carbon Farming Scheme.

Not-for-profit research institute SoilCQuest simplifies this complexity. Proudly co-funded by the NSW Government and Loam Bio, and supported by Elders this free workshop is tailored specifically for agronomists and rural retail advisors.

Upskill your advisory team with knowledge, resources and discounted access to continued online learning.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

By the end of this practical 1.5-hour workshop, you will have a clear understanding of:

Agronomic Benefits: The direct link between soil organic carbon, productivity and yield.
Farm Management: The actions your cropping and grazing clients can take to hold onto the soil carbon they already have, build new soil carbon, and keep it long-term.
Soil Carbon Science and Agroecological principles: The underlying soil science behind the practices that Australian producers are using to increase stable, long-lasting soil carbon.
Grower Case Studies: Real-world carbon-friendly practices currently deployed by Australian producers.
Trial Data: New multi-season strip trial results on productivity gains using Loam Bio CarbonBuilder™ microbial inoculum seed treatment.
ACCU Framework: Clear, step-by-step navigation of government-backed ACCU Soil Carbon Projects.

All participants receive 'The Australian Farm Soil Carbon Toolkit' booklet
