Event description

Join us for an exciting adventure in Soil Discovery with Tiny Creators! Kids aged 2-7 will embark on a fun-filled journey to explore the amazing world beneath our feet. They'll discover that soil is full of surprises as they feel different types of soil and hunt for any little critters living in it!

After that, it’s time for some hands-on fun! The children will get to create their very own mini worm farm to take home. They'll love watching the worms wiggle and work before releasing them safely into their backyards. To wrap up, everyone will add a plant to our garden, showcasing the wonderful cycle of life! Come join us for some soil-sational fun and get your kids involved in a fun, STEM event.

This event is designed to encourage early childhood development through hands-on exploration of the natural world. Come join the fun and let your little ones unleash their inner scientist!

You'll find us set up in the paddock at Dirty Janes, we can't wait to see you there.

This project is supported by Inspiring Australia ACT and the ACT Government

Frequently asked questions

What should I bring?

All you need is your little one and a grown up who is willing to participate alongside them. We are outside so closed in shoes (gumboots work great for the paddock), a hat, water bottle, sunscreen and clothes appropriate to the weather (that your don't mind getting a little grubby) are recommended.

How will the session run?

We will start the session with some housekeeping information. With so much to learn about soil, this session will be guided and the children are encouraged to participate in the activities as a group.

What if the weather is bad on the day?

If the weather is significantly bad on the day we will be in touch regarding a rescheduled date.
