Event description

Join Clare Harvey, Urban Farmer from Melbourne Food Hub, on an awesome discovery about healthy soils.

In this 2 hour workshop we will delve into the fascinating world of urban soils and all of their challenges!

Topics to be covered:

  • We will discuss how to test your soil for contamination and various methods to both resolve and work around this for abundance.
  • We will do some hands-on soil testing and create compost via several methods.
  • We will be chatting about opportunities for soil-free food growing and how to construct above ground options.
Bring along a small soil sample that you'd like to test, as well as any questions!

Come connect and learn with us about the importance of healthy soil and its relationship with humans and plants. This workshop will help to demystify the incredible world of soil and teach you how to test, build and maintain your soil to ensure safe and delicious crops!

Attendees, please meet us at the Melbourne Innovation Centre sign before we commence.
