This "Soil Microscopy for the Classroom' course gives teachers the chance to extend and deepen their knowledge of the dynamic world under our feet.
This interactive course is aligned with the SCSA curriculum and is ideal for teachers both primary and secondary looking to incorporate practical microscopy teaching into their classroom.
Soil Microscopy for the Classroom will give teachers skills to use compound light microscopes to view soil microbiology, identify and understand the role of organisms in the soil beneath our feet, make the links as to how they benefit us and take home practical ways to use microscopes in the classroom.
Completing this course will contribute 5 hrs of professional learning addressing standards 6.1, 6.2, 6.3 6.4, and 7.4 of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
Price inclusive of workbook, use of microscopes, consumables, refreshments. This workshop is held at in the function room at Dome (Byford). Lunch can be purchased.
