Clothing Swap with the Feelgood Fashionista

Do you want to know more about being sustainably stylish? Have you got clothes, shoes, and accessories you no longer wear? 👗👔👟 Want the joy of a refreshed wardrobe, without the spend? Then join WMRC's morning clothing swap featuring guest presenter and Feelgood Fashionista, Loraine Martin, who was Highly Recommended at the 2023 Waste Sorted Awards 💃♻️🙌! Loraine will answer your questions about textile waste, the circular fashion economy and give you tips on how to find those hidden gems at a clothing swap or op shop 🛍️💎.

📅 Date: Saturday 23rd March
⏰ Time: 9.30 am - 12 pm
🚩Location: Solaris Cancer Care Op Shop, 80 Railway St Cottesloe WA 6011
🚙 Parking: You will find street parking along Railway Street and at the North Cottesloe Primary School car park. Please allow enough time to find parking as onsite parking is limited.
💰 Cost: $5.00 + booking fee
Tickets are non-refundable. If you can no longer attend this event, your ticket can be swapped for another WMRC event if enough notice is given.
How it works:
1) Register for a ticket and look through your cupboards to find good-quality items you no longer wear to bring to the swap.
2) Join us at Solaris Cancer Care Op Shop between 9.30 am - 10 am and hand your clothes over to be weighed and sorted by our lovely volunteers. You can also have a pre-shop at the Solaris' Op Shop before the talk starts at 10 am.
3) Have a seat in the presentation room while the volunteers sort the clothing for the swap.
4) Relax and enjoy Loraine the Feelgood Fashionista discussing textile waste and the power of building your wardrobe.
5) Move to the swap room and browse the clothing racks at your leisure between 11 am - 12 pm.
❌Please no kid's clothes or bric-a-brac at this event ❌
Please arrive promptly as doors will shut at 10am. Attendees are expected to stay for the duration of the event, including the waste talk. Tickets are limited, so if you cannot make this event, please let us know at least 1 day in advance. Your ticket will then be given to another attendee on the waitlist.
Please register for a ticket. Member council tickets are available to residents from Claremont, Cottesloe, Mosman Park, Peppermint Grove & Subiaco. General admission tickets are available for Cambridge, Nedlands and residents from other councils.
