THIS GALLERY WILL REMAIN OPEN FOR SUBMISSIONS THROUGHOUT 2021.
Joanna Macy’s work on despair and empowerment has inspired many people around the world. She says feeling our pain cracks open our love, and when we don’t fear our pain, we are free to take action in service of what we love and appreciate. Many of us get blocked and ill by trying to avoid feeling pain, we distract and numb ourselves which prevents us from opening to the wider perspective, vision, and actions we are capable of taking for life on our Earth. This experience draws on our innate wisdom coming through us from deeper ecological awareness, reflection, creative expression, and human connection. Together we realise we are not alone with the various forms of discomfort, and we can truly feel alive when we share our pain, our love and appreciation, and our visions and actions for a life-sustaining regenerate culture.
