Solidarity Cup for Palestine

Come out for a day of soccer to help raise funds for Palestine!

In partnership with Community Soccer Hub, a western bloc of solidarity groups for Palestine - spanning Brimbank, Hobsons Bay, Wyndham and Melton - is hosting a football tournament in Albion on Saturday 14 September. 

This is a special opportunity to build solidarity across communities in the west. We recognise that football is a beloved sport in Palestine, connecting it to many cultures across the world. Let us make this connection visible on the field! 

Funds raised from all ticket sales will go to Palestine Sports for Life (Gaza and the West Bank) and the Gazan Urban Women Agripreneurs Forum.

Things to know

• The tournament is 7-a-side with two divisions: Under-10s and Open. Book as a team or purchase an individual ticket. Free agents will be assigned to a team on the day. Mixed and single-gender teams welcome.  
• Players beyond the 10 covered by the team ticket should purchase single player tickets.
• You can still register if your team does not have enough for 7-a-side. Please contact the Solidarity Cup team if this is still the case by 31 August so we can consider filling your team with free agents.
• The Solidarity Cup for Palestine is a family-friendly day, with music and a variety of activities. Bring a picnic and a mat or camping chairs.
  
• There are toilet facilities as well as a playground on location. 
• On-street parking is available around the venue. It is 15 minutes' walk from Albion (Metro) station.
• Kindly note that due to the nature of this fundraising event, we will not be refunding tickets if you find yourself unable to attend on the day. You may, however, choose to transfer your ticket to someone else; if this is the case, please contact the organisers.
