    Event description

Join us on Wednesday, June 26 from 11:30-1:30pm at Hot Shot Coffee for our next Solution Session.

Learn from distinguished speakers from Plentiful, the Jefferson County Food Policy Council, and Re:Vision about the complexities of food access and the charitable food system.

Our speakers will delve into the challenges surrounding food access and reveal how these issues impact far more of our communities than we often realize. Gain an in-depth understanding of the persistent obstacles and their widespread effects, while discovering the innovative solutions being implemented to overcome them. From exploring the structural barriers to accessing nutritious food to highlighting successful initiatives, this event promises to inspire and engage those looking to make a meaningful difference.

    Meet the speakers:

Catherine Compitello - CEO at Plentiful - Plentiful outlines the charitable food system and discusses what’s needed for neighbors to access food with dignity. They will also provide a short overview of important infrastructure, data, and incentives needed to promote equitable outcomes.

Hallie Nelson - Director of Jefferson County Food Policy Council - The Jefferson County Food Policy Council is a community-driven organization dedicated to empowering residents and fostering change in Jefferson County, Colorado.

Mariana Del Hierro - Executive Director at Re:Vision - Re:Vision’s mission is to work with communities historically impacted by social inequities to develop resident leaders, cultivate community food systems, and create an economy owned by the community.
