Somatic Boogie & Soak
Event description
Come and dance in the meadow behind the Hot Springs followed by (an optional) soak afterwards (for a reduced price of $50 - NOT included!)
*ECSTATIC MEETS SOMATIC! Music & Movement will be a smorgasbord of Ecstatic Dance, Somatic Experiencing® and good ol’ fashioned boreal boogie.
(Ecstatic Dance is a free form dance practice to connect with your body and enjoy the freedom of personal expression. Somatic Experiencing® applies simple tools for befriending and self-regulating your nervous system. Boreal Boogie invites one and all to get down and dance outdoors, silent disco style, feet on the earth 🌎🎶🪩
*No experience required! EVERYONE welcome!
*Outdoor Silent Disco so dress for the weather!
*Bring your (filled) water bottle

*please arrive 5:50pm to fill out your waiver
*if you plan to have a relaxing soak afterwards, please mention to the front desk that you are part of the "Boreal Boogie" group and you will be admitted for the reduced cost of $50!
Directions to Meadow Location for Somatic Boogie & Parking Instructions:
1) Get to Takhini Hot Springs Road
2) At the Roundabout take a RIGHT towards Campground (DON’T take a left into Eclipse Nordic Hot Springs!!!)
3) Stay STRAIGHT on this dirt road heading towards the Yukon Astronomical Society Observatory
4) Drive PAST the Yukon Astronomical Society Observatory Parking lot (please note the outhouse on your left – this is the outhouse that can be used during the Boogie)
5) Park in the Roundabout with the other vehicles. Please do your best to conserve parking space so that everyone will fit!
6) Look for the giant rocks and rainbow flags to lead you to the dancing meadow!
7) Here is Google Map to Yukon Astronomical Society Observatory (NOT the location of the Boogie, but the closest landmark. Again, parking and meadow for Boogie is PAST the Yukon Astronomical Society Observatory parking lot. Please do NOT park in their parking lot!
