Event description

THIS EVENT IS AT CAPACITY, please contact the organisers if you feel super strongly about being there.

Bass Chakra and LadyFem invite you to the Blockhouse Bay Boat Club for a dance followed by a feast prepared by chef Jeremy Warne. The winter Solstice falls on the night before. The intention is to mark the passing of the shortest day with a ritual offering, then turn up the volume and generate some heat!
After the dance, we will share kai and connect with like minds and hearts.

Please bring something for the central altar, this can be anything you wish to give to or draw meaning from.Solstice signifies the darkest day of the year, and what a year it’s been so far!

From here we identify the end of Autumn, and the beginning of Winter - turning towards the sun as days become longer. We invite you to move into this process of inner renewal, embodying the seeds that take time before they sprout in Spring. What seeds do you want to sow during these stiller, quieter months which will enliven as the sun returns?

Allow this to guide your altar offering.Feel free to bring a crew, or come along and meet others through movement.
Come home to your own body, because you were born to dance.

The recipe is simple: No booze, no shoes, no phones, great sound, epic music and a beautiful group of humans.Somatic Dance is a free form movement journey, held in a safe, sacred and non-judgemental container.

The location is 91 Endeavour St, Blockhouse Bay.
We welcome you in any time from 6.30 for a 7pm start.
