Somatic Dance

The Unseen

What parts of yourself have remained unseen?

Not because they're wrong... but because somewhere along the way, it stopped feeling safe to fully express them.

The Unseen is an invitation to gently explore the places within yourself that have been hidden, forgotten, or waiting to be rediscovered.

Through movement, curiosity and embodied awareness, we create space to come home to the body, reconnect with the parts of ourselves longing to be felt, and allow our authentic expression to emerge.

There is nothing to achieve, nothing to perform, and nothing to get right.

Simply an opportunity to meet yourself with honesty, compassion and curiosity.

Together we gather in community to awaken our spirit, move to the rhythm of our soul, and remember the freedom that has always lived within us.

What is Somatic Dance?

Somatic Dance is a guided free-form movement journey held through intentional facilitation and a carefully crafted live DJ set.

Drawing inspiration from somatic practices, Embodied Flow, ecstatic dance and 5 Rhythms, each journey invites you to listen deeply to your body and allow movement to arise naturally.

Music becomes more than something we dance to—it becomes part of the experience itself. A companion. A guide. A thread that gently carries us from arriving, to exploring, to expressing, and finally back home to ourselves.

Through music, movement and embodied awareness, we create space to reconnect with ourselves, release what no longer serves us, and rediscover the wisdom, creativity and aliveness already held within.

For many, dance becomes its own kind of medicine—not because it fixes us, but because it gently reminds us of who we are beneath the layers we've learned to carry.

There is no right way to move.
Only your way.

Whether this is your first dance or your fiftieth, you're welcome exactly as you are. No dance experience is needed, and every body is welcome.

To help create a deeply embodied experience, we dance without shoes, alcohol or conversation on the dance floor.

The recipe is simple:

✨ A carefully curated live DJ set
✨ A beautiful community
✨ A willingness to be curious
The location is at a new temple space, at a private location, 30 mins north of Dunedin (details will be sent upon registration).

We welcome you any time from 3.45pm for a 4pm start.

This dance will be led by Lili Eve certified Somatic Dance DJ and Facilitator, dance floor activator and container creator.
