Somatic Movement Labs: Making Space September

Somatic Movement Labs: Making Space is a monthly workshop where we explore creative responses to somatic invitations.

Making space to move, to breathe, to reflect and create.

A movement based workshop drawing on Body-Mind Centering® principles, with our body and the space the material for our creative inquiry. 

In September, we will explore the theme of 'Form and Flow,' from our embryological beginnings, diving into an adventure from water to land.

Come and join us if you are interested in:

• Playful, creative exploration

• If you haven't been able to attend the term based weekly classes.

• If you would like to explore somatic movement practice.

• If you are curious about deepening possibilities around somatic arts explorations that can include text, mark making, and playing with objects.

What to expect:

• Just bring your playful curiousity

Somatic Movement Labs draw on Body-Mind Centering® (BMC®) principles, an accessible practice that involves guided mindful movement improvisation, and draws on anatomy, physiology and developmental movement principles.

Making Space Workshops will also incorporate generative text exploration and mark making practices, to offer different methodologies for the creative representation of our embodied experiences.

With explorations that invite an inner attending, being with a sense of what is, and creatively exploring what is possible.
