This event has passed Get tickets

    Event description

Come join us for a workshop based around "Somatic Stagecraft", for adult singers of any experience level, any style.

    Β

Jem NicholasΒ is an actor, Alexander Technique teacher, comedian, mover & joy-maker.

In this workshop hosted & assisted by Bec Tilley (voice coach), we will playfully explore making sound and singing while tuning in to the body & working with movement,Β alignment, and getting to know how we can express ourselves more freely.

Our intention is for participants to come away with:

    -Β  More connected body awareness
-Β  More ease in the body when moving & singing
-Β  The possibility for reduction in constriction, tightness, discomfort or pain
-Β  Physical warmup tools to use whenever desired
-Β  An experience of the voice being more free, or just a new way of experiencing the voice & body while singing
    - An experience of being playful & creative in expression!
