We would love you to join Jess Galatola in launching her debut picture book Some Families Change on May 4th at Harry Hartog Carindale at 10am!
This is Jess' first book with EK books and she is excited to celebrate with you. Some Families Change is a gentle exploration of different families and the way our families can change. Jess wrote this book for her own children in 2020, to help them understand big changes going on in their own family.
This book celebrates themes of family, diversity, healing and love. We can't wait to launch it as we hope it helps many families explore big concepts and share big feelings.
About the Author
Some Families Change is Jess Galatola's first picture book with EK books, with another to follow, The Little Breeze in 2025. She recently received a highly commended in the 2023 Pitch It competition for her picture book, Sneeze Adventure.
Jess is a mother to two wriggly boys who love to read picture books before bed. As a teacher, she has worked in the education sector for fifteen years, specialising in English and Drama curriculum. Jess has a passion for helping young people discover a love of reading.
