A little about workshops

Mountains
Featuring a panoramic mountain range illustration created by young participants in workshops, this space explores guided illustration led by young people. An invitation to be in community together, this workshop is a reflective moment to explore respect and connection to place through illustration. No prior drawing experience is needed, all are welcome.
Accessibility: This space is indoors and accessible and will be a seated workshop

Movement
Building safe spaces to express and find your authentic self is a something that is important to many of the young people in our program. Supported by excellent mentor and movement practitioner Bella Waru, participants lead the audience in an engaging physical approach to learning about creating more inclusive spaces.
Accessibility: This workshop will take place outside, on a grassy area that is sloped.

Translation
Language connects us and defines us, holding stories and memories. Translation offers a mindful audio experience that shares stories of young people’s connection to words and language. The workshop will explore listening, learning and reflecting, set in the beautiful parklands of McClelland Gallery.
Accessibility: This workshop will take place outside, on a grassy area and audience will have an option to sit on mats on the ground, or on chairs.
