Arrival & Pre-Dinner Drinks
The night opens the way it should: a glass in hand and the room filling with familiar faces. Signature cocktails, chilled champagne, curated wines and canapés circulate as guests arrive and Machine Hall glows into life. Find your people, meet your competition, and let the anticipation build.
Seated - The Awards Begin
Access to the main hall open and the room takes its seats. Lights down. The firsts of our five pillars are called, and the evening's official business begin. The citations, the applause, the standing ovations.
Dinner & Live Entertainment
Between presentations, a three-course dinner designed exclusively for the evening arrives at the table. Each course paired with a drink, and served with the kind of precision the occasion deserves. Alongside it, one of Sydney's finest live bands takes the stage: a full set of jazz, funk and vibrant classics played live, loud and beautifully. Great food. Great music. Great company. Take your time! The best part is still to come.
The Awards Continue
We return to the podium to complete the full roll of honour: all 34 categories across our five pillars of excellence, culminating in the night's most anticipated announcements. The winners of our cash prizes from the $10,000AUD cash prize pool and SONARR OF THE YEAR!!!
The Party
Trophies collected, speeches made and then the room transforms. Our resident DJ takes over, the lights drop and the dance floor claims the rest of the night. Take some time to congratulate the winners and take photos before the night ends.

- I am a finalist, should I buy a ticket?
Yes, all those who wish to attend the gala dinner must purchase a ticket. Tickets with a special rate are presented to the finalists prior to the public release. You should have received a code to your email address.
- What's the dress code?
This gala is a black-tie event so dress up to celebrate!
- Is it just a name-reading event?
Not at all. The SONARR Awards Gala Dinner is a full celebration of the Australian audio industry, live band, DJ, pre-drinks, and party alongside the award presentations honouring the best in the industry.
- What are the awards presented on the night?
There are thirty-four Category Awards across five pillars: Sound, Narrative, Voice, Vision, and Impact. From the category winners SONARR of the Year, the apex honour is drawn.
SONARR Cash Prize Winner, Indie ($5,000) and SONARR Cash Prize Winner, Commercial ($5,000), will be announced as the strongest work of each stream among the all categories.
- Who can attend?
Anyone who wants to celebrate the best of the Australian audio industry and enjoy a great party is welcome. If you or your work has been selected as a finalist, you'll receive a separate ticket release at a special price.

The Gala Dinner is a five-hour celebration with limited seating, including a three-course meal, awards, and entertainment. So tickets cover the full event rather than after-party-only entry.
