Event description
Join us as we sing together for the flourishing of all beings. All are welcome at this uplifting, participatory concert.
About the Concert
This season, we are exploring what it really means to heal the wounds of division present in our world today.
How do we bridge hearts and live harmoniously in a world with all kinds of different people? Let’s find out together in this uplifting, participatory concert.
This concert season features a collection of 16 songs, all of which have been learned by our singing members through oral tradition in community. Most of our songs this season will be performed in collaboration with songwriting duo MaMuse.
with Special Guests, MaMuse
Wholeheartedly fed by the folk and gospel traditions, MaMuse (Sorah Nutting and Karisha Longaker) create uplifting music to inspire the world into thriving.
Interweaving brilliant and haunting harmony with lyrics born of honed emotional intelligence, MaMuse invokes a musical presence that inspires the opening of the heart.
Playing a family of varied acoustic instruments including upright bass, guitar, mandolins, and flutes, these two powerful women embody a love for all life. The synergy that is created through this musical connection is palpable and truly moving to witness.
Artistic Director and Founder, Lisa Littlebird
Lisa G. Littlebird facilitates group singing as a transformational practice, healing art, and to foster healthy communities. Sharing from a repertoire of hundreds of oral tradition songs from around the world, she uses music as a pathway in service to opening the heart.

She has traveled the world facilitating community singing for 20 years, and in 2014 founded Wholehearted Chorus, which quickly grew into the largest community choir in the region. Lisa is the creator of Littlebird Flight School, a preeminent online songleading training program for emerging community song leaders, with hundreds of worldwide graduates.
About Wholehearted Chorus
The mission of Wholehearted is to create a more harmonious world by singing together. It was founded in 2014 by Lisa Littlebird, and now has more than 230 singers in its first season with two chapters, in San Diego and on the Central Coast of California.
Singers of all ages and experience are wholeheartedly welcome in this chorus, and there is no audition. We become beautiful together through our shared practice. We do not use sheet music in this chorus, instead learning the songs by heart through repetition, with the support of lyric sheets and practice tracks.
The songs we sing are sacred technologies of the heart and they become allies for life. They are designed to uplift, heal, and nurture our sense of belonging.
