Description

Previously advertised as Songman at the Mansion

Due to a change in circumstances, the program has been revised and the event is now Songs at the Mansion.

Join Indigenous singer-songwriter Boorook (Brett Clarke) for an intimate evening of music, story, culture and connection at the magnificent Barwon Park Mansion.

Presented as part of the annual Winchelsea Music Season, this special event invites audiences to experience Boorook's powerful performance, shaped by a lifetime of cultural knowledge, lived experience, and deep connection to Country. Through song and conversation, Boorook shares stories that celebrate resilience, identity, family and culture.

The evening also offers the opportunity to explore the Gilson Family Indigenous Art Exhibition within the mansion. Featuring works by acclaimed Indigenous artists, the exhibition provides a rich visual complement to Boorook's music, creating a unique cultural experience that brings together art, story and song in one of Victoria's most remarkable heritage settings.

Taking place during the Surf Coast Arts Trail and alongside the Manor Made Arts Festival, visitors are encouraged to make a day of it at Barwon Park before settling in for an unforgettable evening performance.

A warm and welcoming event suitable for all ages.

Presented by the Winchelsea Music Season, a project of Rural Arts Victoria, supporting community, culture and connection through the arts.
