Join iAM MUSIC Co-Founder Jesse Ogle for a 90-minute songwriting workshop designed to help songwriters develop a consistent and effective creative process that leads to stronger, more memorable songs.

Drawing on years of experience as a songwriter, performer, educator, and bandleader, Jesse will guide participants through practical tools and techniques for building songs with greater purpose, stronger harmonic foundations, and more impactful melodies.

This workshop will focus on creating a reliable framework for developing harmony, exploring common chord progressions, and discovering creative ways to expand and strengthen your harmonic ideas. Participants will learn how harmony can support the emotional message of a song and create a stronger connection with listeners.

We'll also dive into one of the most important elements of songwriting: crafting a compelling hook and memorable chorus. Through guided discussion and hands-on exercises, participants will learn how to identify the core message of a song, clarify what they want listeners to take away, and ensure their lyrics and music work together to communicate that message effectively.

In addition to songwriting concepts and techniques, participants will have the opportunity to share ideas, discuss their creative process, and receive constructive feedback in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Whether you write folk, rock, pop, country, Americana, singer-songwriter music, or something entirely your own, this workshop will provide practical strategies you can immediately apply to your songwriting process.
