🎶 Sonic Portal – Port School’s Inaugural Music Concert 🎶

Port School is excited to announce the launch of a brand-new live music experience, and you’re invited to step through the Sonic Portal!

On Sunday 8th March, 2026, our contemporary music students will take over the Hamilton Hill Memorial Hall for an evening of sound, creativity, and community vibes. This concert celebrates everything happening in our growing music program: from hobby musicians finding their feet, to Certificate II Creative Industries students building skills in music production and audio tech.

What’s happening?
✨ Student solo and group performances
✨ Performances from Port School staff
✨ Interactive karaoke (yes, you can get involved!)
✨ A special guest headliner
✨ Stalls and hands-on activities happening throughout the venue

The event runs from 5:00–6:30pm, with plenty to see, hear, and explore the whole time.

🎟️ Under 18s: Free entry (just register your name via Humanitix)
🎟️ 18+: $20 entry

All funds raised go directly back into supporting and growing Port School’s emerging music program, helping us invest in instruments, equipment, and future creative opportunities for our students.

Whether you’re coming to cheer on young performers, sing along at karaoke, or just soak up the atmosphere, Sonic Portal is all about connection, creativity, and community. We’d love to see you there!

An important note about kids attending:

Kids under 18 can attend for free, however they must register first via Humanitix to avoid going over capacity. Please make sure you are with your kids at all times.

• All money raised goes towards Port School Music Program

• No BYO Alcohol / Food. There will be snacks available on site.

• Memorial Hall is a non-smoking venue. Please refrain from smoking on site.

• This is a live music gig and may get loud. We will do our best to make sure the volume stays at an acceptable level.

• This is an LGBTIQA+ friendly and safe event. There will be no place for anti-social behaviour and there is a zero tolerance approach to discrimination or harassment.

• We acknowledge the Whadjuk people as the traditional owners and custodians of these lands and waterways and extend our respect to their Elders, past and present.
