About Joanne Stephan
Joanne Stephan is a Sydney-based photographer, award-winning videographer, and licensed drone operator with a love for the outdoors. Her greatest passion is action sports photography, a passion that runs deeper than the ocean and stems from her many years competing as an elite athlete. This background inspires her to capture and create stunning content that showcases an athlete’s talent in all its glory.
Whether it’s photographing the surf while soaking up the salty air, putting her body on the line to capture daring skateboarding tricks, or following a mountain biking crew through intense trails, Joanne thrives on freezing fast-moving moments at 1/2000th of a second. She finds something truly special in capturing what the human eye can’t always see, a pursuit that is sometimes risky, always exhilarating, and fuels her love for the adrenaline rush.
Joanne also runs her own video marketing agency, LimeBlu Media, where she produces and creates video and photographic content for sporting and outdoor brands, as well as service-based businesses eager to share their stories.
Passionate about teaching, Joanne is dedicated to helping other photographers learn these skills and experience the excitement of capturing life in the fast lane. And when the occasion calls for something different, she’s happy to sneak in some portraiture too. She looks forward to every new opportunity to connect and create.
