Event description

Capture stunning birds in their natural environment with Sony!

Join Sony, Ted's Cameras and wildlife and bird photographer Fransiscus Sheeling for a photo walk at The Western Treatment Plant, and capture birds in all their glory.

This experience aims to teach bird photography beginners in an extremely relaxed and low pressure setting. Take the time to experiment with natural light, exposure, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, depth of field and composition out in the open air, all while networking with like-minded photographers and enthusiasts. The best part is that you'll get to try out some of best gear available from Sony at the same time!

What to bring:

  • Sony will provide a range of high performance cameras, including the A7RM4, A9M2, A1 and A7M4, as well as lenses required for great bird photography results!
If you'd like to bring your own camera, you are more than welcome. Be sure to charge your batteries! And feel free to try out some Sony gear if you like!
  • Bring an SD memory card to keep your photos
  • Weather appropriate clothing
  • Sturdy closed shoes as there will be walking

Limited places are available to ensure a quality experience for attendees, so grab your tickets before they sell out!

About Fransiscus Sheeling

I am a zoo and wildlife veterinarian with an interest in wildlife photography. I have undergone specialist training in wildlife medicine and have worked exclusively in this field for more than 10 years. During this time I have been fortunate enough to travel the globe, experiencing the wonders of the natural world. The images on this website are a small collection of some of the amazing animals I've encountered. Each trip has been magical and further fueled my passion for travel.

I am passionate about conservation issues and I hope these images inspire you to explore and create your own photographic memories as well as join the fight to save Earth's biodiversity.
