Colourful Creations explores Sophie’s passion for colour and her goal to spread happiness through her art. Working in oil pastel and pencil, Sophie carefully renders everyday subjects from flowers, fruit, and household objects with thoughtful precision and attention.

Through simple still life compositions, she evokes a sense of place seeking to balance form with bold, vibrant colours. Her aim is to highlight the warmth and beauty found in the familiarity of everyday life.

Among her still life drawings, the artist has included retrospective works that reveal the journey of her artistic development.

Sophie Williams BIO

Sophie Williams is an accomplished and passionate artist whose dedication to drawing has shaped every stage of her life. Her talent was recognized early when she received an art award in her final year of secondary school inspiring her to major in drawing at Victoria College of the Arts. She then trained at The Stables Art Studio, Southbank, where she further developed her technical skills and artistic voice.

Sophie has since exhibited in group shows and held solo exhibitions across Melbourne leading to local recognition, regular sales and commissioned works. A cornerstone of Sophie’s development has been her long-standing relationship with her mentor, Tony Senese. For over ten years, Tony has played a crucial role in shaping her as an artist. As a teacher, guide, and friend, he has provided both technical instruction and personal support, encouraging her to take creative risks and stay true to her artistic identity.
