Soul Circles Drumming end-of-year celebration featuring special guest Mady Keita

Join the entire Soul Circles Drumming community—from the Dandenong Ranges to the Mornington Peninsula—for a special end-of-year celebration of rhythm, learning and connection.

We are honoured to welcome Mady Keita, one of Australia's most respected West African musicians and founder/director of Super Mande Percussion, to lead a two-hour masterclass exploring the rich traditions of the Malian djembe and dunun. Drawing on decades of performance and teaching, Mady will share authentic rhythms, musical techniques and the cultural knowledge that underpins this vibrant musical tradition.

Following the workshop, we'll gather for a relaxed communal lunch before finishing the day with a full-community drumming jam. This is an opportunity for everyone to come together, strengthen ensemble skills, and celebrate the rhythms, techniques and musical friendships we've built throughout the year.

Whether you've been drumming with Soul Circles for years or only recently joined the community, this celebration is a chance to connect across all our groups, learn from a master musician, and experience the joy of making music together.
