Are you interested in learning how you can ensure your music-making is as green as possible?

Making and sharing music has an environmental footprint. Your decisions about gigs, tours and transport, merch, packaging and waste all have an impact. Attend this session for actionable tips on how you can be more sustainable and contribute to cultural change in the industry.

First, Green Music Australia's Emma Bosworth will introduce their artist guide, Sound Country. Sound Country provides First Nations thinking, scientific evidence, case studies, and checklists so you can put in place eco-friendly practices. Then, you'll have the chance to discuss practical ways you can apply sustainability to your practice and business in breakout groups.

You'll leave the event with a checklist you can use to kick start your sustainability journey or build on your existing foundations.

Sustainability is a core value for MusicNSW. Earlier this year, we participated in Green Music Australia's program to develop a Green Action Plan alongside other music industry organisations including Electronic Music Conference, ABC Music and Universal Music Australia. This session is one aspect of our plan to support artists and broad industry change.
