On the eve of the 2024 ARIA Awards, join us for an exclusive deep dive on the ongoing momentum of indie pop sensation Royel Otis, who lead this year’s nominations with eight nods including Album of the Year, Best Independent Release and Song of the Year.

Don’t miss this conversation with Royel Otis Manager and Ourness Director Andrew Klippel, marketing strategist Mardi Caught (The Annex) and reps from Thinking Loud, Spotify, Triple J and YouTube as they share behind-the-scenes strategies that helped throw doors open for the band on the world stage:

Alicia Sprugnera - Head of Music Development at Spotify
Aniela Swiatek - PR Director / Co-owner at Thinking Loud
Lachlan Macara - Head of triple j, Double J & ABC Country, ABC
Marion Goodman-Briand - Lead AU/NZ at YouTube Music

In a discussion facilitated by Jess Keeley (Wonderlick Entertainment/Music She Wrote), hear how Royel Otis went from sharing demos in Bondi to becoming “Australia’s next breakout indie heroes” (NME) - a journey marked by an ARIA Gold single (Oysters In My Pocket), a top 10 debut album (Pratts and Pain), a breakthrough Like A Version moment (Murder on the Dancefloor) and sell-out international tours across Europe and the US.

This is a must-attend for anyone interested in independent artist development and the inner workings of essential partnerships in the current music ecosystem.
