Event description

Panel and networking

// 6.30pm: Panel on collaboration in music with Annabel Blackman, Harrison Hall and Kaylene Milner
// 7.30pm: Wollongong music scene networking opportunit

Wollongong is brimming with artists, venues, promoters and others across the industry doing incredible work to build the local scene and share it with the world. This is work rarely done alone - instead it is made possible through collaboration and the combined creativity, skills and networks of the people involved. So, how do you get a collab going? What makes a good partnership tick? And what happens when things go awry?

From 6.30pm, join the panel to hear from locals with collaboration at their core:

  • Body Type’s Annabel Blackman, which counts the likes of Pixies, Fontaines D.C, Sleater-Kinney, Wolf Alice, Foo Fighters, King Gizz, Pond amongst their gig highlights
  • Purveyor of good times Harrison Hall, the man behind Holy Pavlova, Port Kembla Festival and Bloomfield Festival
  • Founder of WAH-WAH, Kaylene Milner, who has collaborated with local artists and bands like Sonic Youth, Amyl & the Sniffers, Yeah Yeah Yeahs to produce punk-rock knitwear

Then, from 7.30pm, you’ll have the opportunity to put their advice into action through a networking session. This will be an opportunity to meet MusicNSW Wollongong Coordinator Cody Munro Moore, and artists and industry professionals from across Wollongong’s music scene - who knows what new and exciting projects could be born over a drink and a snack?
