Sound as Medicine: A Practical Introduction - One Day Immersive Tutorial
Event description
A hands-on introduction to the art and practice of sound healing.
Join me for a one-day immersive sound healing tutorial designed to give you both a felt experience and a deeper understanding of how sound can be used as a tool for healing, meditation, and personal transformation.
This small-group workshop will begin with a short, guided sound healing and meditation to settle us into the space. From there, we’ll open up into discussion, questions, and practical exploration of instruments and techniques. I’ll share insights drawn from my own sound healing practice — shaped by a background in music composition, performance, therapeutic work and training with expert practitioners and researchers from around the globe — to offer a perspective that blends intuitive, spiritual, and theoretical foundations.
You’ll learn:
How different sound tools and frequencies affect the nervous system
Principles of resonance, harmonics, and entrainment
Tips for holding space and creating your own healing sessions
The differences between performance and sound therapy settings
This day is perfect for:
Anyone curious about sound healing
Yoga or meditation practitioners looking to integrate sound
Musicians or creatives exploring healing modalities
Therapists or facilitators interested in vibrational work
🧘 No previous experience required. Just bring your curiosity, an open mind, and something to take notes with. Instruments will be available to try on the day and feel free to bring your own to learn with.
This event was created at the request of close friends seeking practical, down-to-earth ways to bring sound therapy into their lives. We'll cut through the esoteric jargon to explore how sound actually works — backed by science and research — and focus on clear, believable ways to integrate that knowledge into real-world practices.
