Event description

In May we gather for a guided meditation under the Flower Moon.

In the yogic culture it is well understood that everything reverberates with frequency, which is a form of sound. Sound has been used in healing in Ancient Egypt, Greece, China, India and other ancient cultures for healing and consecration. Albert Einstein discovered that all matter is vibration of energy; when sound waves move through the body the frequency can harmonise in the chakras (energy wheels) and meridians using cymatics principles. Sound baths can have a deep healing effect on our thoughts and emotions creating a deeply relaxing and personal experience made more special from the energies of the full moon.

Sound benefits yoga by bypassing the thinking the mind, affecting our brain at an emotional level, creating a vibrational frequency to change the environment and uplift energy to create change. This in turn becomes a catalyst for healing in the physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual aspects of our being. With our bodies comprising around 75% water, frequency is like throwing a pebble in a pond, with the ripples and grows. As a natural result if transcends all the elements of the body:  Air (Vayu), Fire (Agni), Water (Jala), Earth (Prithvi) and Space (Akasha), and reverberates throughout the five bodies or koshas: Annamaya Kosha (Physical body), Pranaymaya Kosha (Energy body), Manomaya Kosha (Mental body), Vigyanamay Kosha (wisdom body) and Anandamaya Kosha (cosmic consciousness or bliss body).

Blankets and bolsters will be provided but feel free to bring any additional softness or arrive in clothes you may wish to go straight to bed in afterwards. Cacao will be offered made with spices and coconut milk.
