Event description

Sound Healing Basics Workshop with IKSRE **The Forest Edition!

Have you been in a yoga class or sound bath and heard a teacher playing a Himalayan or Crystal bowl, and wondered how you could learn to do the same thing? These easy to play instruments can be used by anyone, anytime, to help calm, focus and relax.

Join Phoebe Dubar (aka IKSRE) - recording artist and graduate of the Sound Healing Academy, Cornwall, in a full day workshop that will arm you with the skills to incorporate sound healing into your everyday. Whether you're a yoga teacher, musician, health professional, busy parent or simply someone who wants to deepen their meditation practice, this day is for you!

And after 6 sold out sessions at Moorabbin's "The Light Practice", we're going bush! This very very special edition of the workshop will be held in Phoebe's happy place - surrounded by enormous trees, at the breathtakingly beautiful Yama Ki in the Don Valley - just past Healesville, an easy drive from Melbourne. The property has a cottage available onsite for anyone wanting to make a weekend of it (please contact them directly for availability), or perhaps, find an Airbnb nearby.

Surrounded by giant trees and lulled by the sounds of birds and the onsite creek, we'll begin by learning the art of deep listening before diving into the science of sound and the history of sound healing, before a nourishing sound bath. Next we'll learn basic techniques for Himalayan (aka Tibetan) singing bowls, Crystal singing bowls and voice - and no, you don't need to be able to sing - if you can talk, you can do this!

There's no need to own any instruments (I'll provide those), OR any prior experience in music, yoga or sound - this workshop will be aimed at everybody, regardless of where you're at! You'll leave the day with simple techniques for playing these two beautiful, healing instruments, and using your voice in incredibly simple ways to help energize, relax or focus yourself and others.

Included in the price is also a delicious, light lunch, snacks and tea. Please provide any dietary requirements in the booking form.

Some quotes from past participants:

"Thanks so much for your time, energy, wisdom and space holding today, Phoebe. You were super grounding and have such a beautiful way of sharing your knowledge and empowering others. Loved it and am excited to dabble and explore" (Kate K, Aug 2022)

"Thank you so much for today. You are a wizard with sound... I left feeling super confident in my ability to play the sound bowls and inspired to broaden my collection of instruments." (Sam S, Nov 2021)

"I'm still on a high from Saturday. Thank you so so much. You're knowledge, and passion is palpable and I feel so lucky to have been able to learn from you. Gosh it's fun being a student and I left feeling so inspired and cup full. Thank you." (Sarah M, Aug 2022)

If you already have some of these instruments, please feel free to bring them along, otherwise there will be instruments provided for you to practice on.

This workshop will be kept to super limited numbers, so book now! It always books out fast. :)

$195 plus booking fee (includes light lunch, snacks and tea)
