About Sound Baths:
Meditation is difficult for the majority of us. Modern life is fast, noisy and we find it too hard to switch off from external stimuli and drop into the Parasympathetic Nervous System, the state in which deep healing and rest occurs.
Sound baths are the exception to this - they are a deeply restful experience which requires no experience whatsoever. Participants lie down and relax for an hour, as they are “bathed” in live sound - a hypnotic combination of ancient and modern acoustic instruments such as Quartz Crystal and Himalayan singing bowls, chimes, gongs, hand pan, Monochord, buffalo drum, rainstick, shakers and vocal toning.
These instruments, played in a carefully curated manner, help to slow down participants’ brainwaves, lulling them into a deep state of meditation and self-healing. The complex frequencies of the instruments unblock stagnant energy, allowing the body and mind to begin to heal itself. It’s a profound experience for many.
About Phoebe (IKSRE):
IKSRE (I Keep Seeing Rainbows Everywhere) – is Naarm/Melbourne-based, classically trained multi instrumentalist, vocalist, producer and sound healer (dip. Sound Healing Academy, Cornwall), Phoebe Dubar. She combines field recordings collected from the vast, Australian landscape with Himalayan and Alchemy Crystal singing bowls, gongs, hand pan, drum, chimes, Monolina with her etherial vocals, and overtone singing.
She’s a mainstay on the schedules of yoga studios across town, and releases ambient music under the same moniker, with her five self produced albums released on international labels.
