Sound Medicine ~ Community Healing Project

Are you feeling stressed out, anxious or having insomniac nights where you cannot rest deeply? Are you suffering from chronic illnesses, aches and pains physically? I am looking for 8 individuals willing to commit to this experiential sound healing project with sound vibrations on a monthly basis for up to 4 months. You must be willing to commit to all 4 sessions to benefit from this Community Healing Project based on sliding scale donation basis.

This is a monthly experiential sound medicine journey for you to experience sound healing as medicine for your issues. It is recommended that you keep a journal to track your progress after each session. You do not need any prior sound healing experience to join. Depending on the severity of your conditions, you may experience relief in just one session, or you may require several sessions. The only commitment is on you to track your own healing progress if you are willing to experiment with sounds as your healing toolkit, and to share your progress with the group at the beginning of each session. This will be a private healing container for 8 individuals for 4 months (4 sessions in total).

*If you are uncertain if you qualify, please reach out with your conditions that you hope to address before signing up.

Dates: 4 Apr, 2 May, 6 Jun, 4 Jul 2026 (1st Saturdays of each month)

Time: 11am - 1230pm

Venue: Rainbowls & Reiki Studio, 1004 Plymouth Road

Energy Exchange: $20-60 per session (sliding scale) x 4 sessions in 4 months

Who is this project suitable for?

*Anyone who is unable to cope with stresses in daily life.

*Anyone battling with anxiety and insomnia.

*Anyone with chronic illnesses, aches and pains that does not seem to go away, requiring pain relief.

*Anyone with these issues but unable to find comfort in any other ways.

*Anyone willing to experiment with sound healing as a healing modality to complement your current medical treatments.

Please note:

This sound healing experiential project is not meant to replace any medical plans, treatments or procedures as advised by your doctors, but as a supplemental support for your healing. It is a project to help you, at the same time to experiment with the extend of power of sound healing and what it can do to heal these conditions for my research purposes. If you wish to pay via bank transfer, please reach out for bank details.

About Your Host:

Joey has been described as a powerful sound medicine woman who has led many transformative sound healing ceremonies from Singapore to New Zealand. Deeply grounded in her sound healing practices, with reverence for Shamanic journeys, and the power of sound vibrations and frequencies, she curates multi-instrumental sound journeys cocooning clients into states of bliss, clarity, purpose, peace and deep healing. A certified Moonologer, she works closely with the lunar energies to facilitate Full Moon and New Moon manifestation ceremonies. Joey communes with nature through Native American Flute music and the ancient art of frame drumming, teaching students to use these sacred sound instruments to connect back within themselves, to their hearts and souls, with focus on self-empowerment through rhythms and self-healing through soul songs from the flutes. Joey gently guides you back into your own unique vibrational frequency through somatic vocal healing, allowing you to embrace your own unique voice as your most important healing instrument that you carry within yourself, rewriting any of your old beliefs and stories about your own voice. Joey is known to possess the ability to share spiritual teachings in a very grounded way that one can easily understand and embody. She is happy to be called a witch, but is definitely not your woo woo fairy sound mother. She embodies sound healing through the physics of sound vibrations, backed by experiential research. Through her learnings and merging modalities, she leads you into a healing journey of your own, with the sounds she weaves in the spaces she holds. A devotee to mantra chanting, she teaches mantras as a daily meditative practice to shift inner consciousness and embody the qualities of the Divine through Kirtan. Joey is also the guardian of her therapy animals that live on her land in Koru, Taranaki, along with the enchanting forest and healing river that runs through her property.
