“Back to the Millennium” is the heartbeat of Sound of Anime 6—a live return to the stories, sounds and memories that shaped a generation of anime fans. From after-school television and burned CDs to early forums and fan-made videos, the night recreates the excitement of discovering anime around the millennium.

Four acts lead this journey.

Nekodako and !nvolution perform songs from Naruto Shippuden, Tokyo Ghoul, Cardcaptor Sakura, Sailor Moon, AIR, Code Geass and Neon Genesis Evangelion.
Pianist Yun presents a keyboard-led set inspired by A Certain Scientific Railgun, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, K-ON!, Anohana, Guilty Crown and Your Lie in April, joined by Tim for vocals.
Nana brings the worlds of Howl’s Moving Castle, Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, Kiki’s Delivery Service and My Neighbor Totoro to the stage, alongside Japanese city-pop favourites.

More than a concert, it is a time capsule of childhood wonder, characters and internet-age nostalgia. Step back into the millennium in Sydney on 7 November 2026.
