Emerging from the New Zealand School of Music, the Hupstein Eng Trio draws on the golden era of jazz, inspired by the sounds of Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, and Chet Baker. With Hupstein Eng on guitar and vocals, Freddy Sayer on piano, and Jacob Meikle on upright bass, the trio brings any atmosphere to life through hard-swinging standards, interactive improvisation, and a groove that will make anyone want to dance.
